Probably you know Rekonq web browser ! the new browser for KDE SC ! recently i was thinking about more introducing of this browser to other guys in around the world or at least other users of gnu/linux and KDE SC, like firefox in earlier versions….
last night i found a free time and i designed these logo and banner for putting in weblogs/websites for supporting rekonq and introduce to other users… also I please rekonq core developer, "Andrea Diamantini" to publish an announcement in rekonq web site and introduce this banners and weblogs….
in next time and free time, I will design more and more banners/logos for rekonq !

Hey, these look very nice. if I had a website or a blog I would definitely use them.
Please, do not use GNU/Linux name because it is not technically or politically correct name for the OS.
@Tommy.S don’t bring that up please. GNU/Linux is just as correct as Linux on it’s own, and the discussion is a waste of time anyway.
@roozbeh: really cool banners, nice work!
I use Rekonq quite often – it’s not as fast as chromium, and handles some things badly (don’t try to view images larger than 1000×1000 in it, it’ll get dog slow…) but it does fine, most of the time

So that means, sadly, that the name won’t be changed. That is a pity. It is really a pain to remember and write correctly for normal people.
Also the logo looks a bit… aggressive, I don’t know…
@Tobami: nobody ever talked about changing its name – and it’s just Konqueror minus 3 letters, so it’ll even take you less to remember. Aggressive? It’s about re-conquering, what would you expect, heart-shaped eyes and pink fluff?

Drake would go with the icon as well.
However, no follow-up was made. So i guess kde is stuck with “rekonq”. Ah well, it is just a name…

er.. that should probably be “the new KDE powered web browser” or some such. it isn’t attached to the software compilation at all, just the Development Platform. it’s a KDE Application, and should be promoted as such.
that said, yes, rekonq is still a really unfortunate name. “Recon” from the brainstorm thread is similar but a lot better imo, as it at least has some non-inner-geek-joke meaning
that said, it is coming along amazingly well, and i really hope it will be ready for prime time usage by KDE Plasma and other desktop users!
Hi dada. The packages you’ve given me, I mean that /var/cache/pacman/pkg , I’ve coppied them there, but that doesn’t work. I only coppied them and opened shaman .But there were nothing , non of new packages.So I updated its database, but it couldn’t work too! Even I tried to install them using pacman -U command, but I saw that by copying them in pkg folder, they didn’t add to database of pacman pakages.Because when I tried to install one of them by packman command,it said that depends on some packages that are not avalable in database,when they were avalable in pkg folder. please tell me what to do.It is making me angry!!!
